BCから上部では、基本的に登山者はスタッフと共同して全ての装備や食料を運搬することになっています。運搬をスタッフに託して、最小限の荷物だけを持っていく場合、運搬料として、1グループ当り以下の金額(US$)のボーナスが必要です。いずれもスタッフ1名当りの金額です。例えばアシスタントガイドが2名の場合は2倍になります。
グループの人数により、アシスタントガイドは付かない場合があります。 BCより下では、必要最小限の荷物以外はポーターに持ってもらえますが、ポーターにチップは必要です。 カメラ機材等余分な荷の運搬料は上記金額に上乗せになります。（高所ポーター雇用の場合 は別途見積りになります）何らかの都合で運搬回数が増えたりした場合も増額になる場合があります。 悪天候等で高所キャンプが設営されず、運搬もされなかった場合は、もちろんボーナスは不要です。 |

Introduction of the tour:
This expedition trip to the North-Col provides tremendous opportunity to
sample the delights of Tibet and the Himalaya there. This trip starts with
the drive from Kathmandu via Nepal Tibet border call Zhangmu and drive to
Base Camp through Nylam and Tingri. The ascent from the base camp follows in
the historic footsteps of Mallory and Irvine, snaking its way up the East
Rongbuk Glacier between the many icy pinnacles to Advance Base Camp from
where we launch our North-Col destination bid.
The North-Col takes you far beyond the normal Base Camp trek. Depending upon
the time of year, you will be able to witness summit teams, including ours,
preparing for the next step of their adventures. Ultimately, you will be
able to reach a vantage high up on the North-Col with the most spectacular
views of Everest's inspiring windswept summit.
Daily itinerary:
Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu Overnight at hotel
Arrival in Kathmandu-check in Hotel and sightseeing around Durbar Square
Kathmandu Durbar Square:
This large square is the historic seat of the Nepalese Royalty. The square,
with its old temples and palaces, epitomizes the religious and cultural life
of the people. It is here where Kings of Nepal are crowned.
Day 2 Sightseeing in Katrhmandu, O/night at hotel
Sightseeing Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath and Swayambhunath
Pashupatinath:
Pashupatinath is one of the famous Hindu Temples in the world and is a
pilgrimage site for many people across southern Asia. It is located in the
banks of Bagmati river and is a cremation site for Hindu people. This famous
Shiva temple is said to have been built by Lichchhavi King, Supuspadeva in
465 - 500 AD.
Bouddhanath:
The stupa of Boudhanath lies eight Kilometers east of Kathmandu. This is a
colossal and an ancient stupa, one of the biggest in the world, are the
all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is said to have been renovated by
Lichchhivi King Mana Dev in the fifth century A.D. It is built on an
octagonal base inset with prayer wheels.
Swayambhunath:
This is one of the world's most glorious Buddhist stupas. It is said to be
2000 years old and visitors often call it the "Monkey Temple". The Stupa,
which forms the mail structure, is made of a solid hemisphere of brick and
clay supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt.
Painted on the four sides of the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord
Buddha. It is three kilometers west of Kathmandu city. This hill is a mosaic
of small Stupas and pagoda temples. The very fact that the hillock was an
island when the valley was a lake and "Manjushree" cut a gorge through
Chobhar by his sword to drain the water from this lake has his temple near
Swayambhu indicates the importance of this site. The word Swayambhu means
self-created. There is a large number of monkeys in the area of the hill
which is also a wooded park. You have to be careful to take any package,
which could be snatched.
Day 3 Nylam 3700m (123km) 8 driving hrs
We take the breakfast at 6 am and take the tourist coach to Tatopani where
we have to follow the formalities at immigration office. We change our bus
there as Land Cruiser jeep from Lhasa will come for our trip to Everest Base
Camp. The bus drive from Kathmandu to Tatopani takes around 6 hours. Our
crew come to the hotel in this morning and join together in the bus drive to
Tatopani. We drive from the border via Zhangmu to Nylam for the overnight
stay at a Hotel there.
Day 4 Rest in Nylam 4200m
Rest for acclimatization in Nylam and o/n at the same hotel but in the
afternoon, we explore Nylam town.
Day 5 Rest in Nylam 4200m
Rest for acclimatization in Nylam. O/n at the same hotel but in the afternoon,
we explore the Milarepa cave.
Day 6 Tingri 2150m 160km 5 driving hrs
Today we, have 2 spectacular passes - Nyalamu 3800m and the Lalungla 5082m,
driving uphill before reaching Tingri.
Day 7 Rest in Tingri
We have a free day at Tinngri today but one can explore around Tingri to get
some nice view of Tibetan culture and scenes around.
Day 8 Rongbuk 5030m 100km 4 driving hrs
After breakfast at 7 in the morning, we head up for the Rongbuk taking
around 4 hours drive. This is the most beautiful drive in the entire
Himalayas as you will be driving in front of Mt. Everest. The scenic beauty
while the drive is astonishing and you feel that you are in real nature.
Overnight at the guest house.
Day 9 Rest in Rongbuk
Today we can walk around the Rongbuk glacier for the acclimatization.
Overnight at the guest house there.
Day 10 Chinese BC 5200m 8km 1 driving hr
We have gradual uphill drive that takes around one hour to Chinese Base Camp
from Rongbuk. Our staff will set tents for the overnight in Chinese BC and
tents will be used for every night from here as there are not any lodgestic
facilities above here.
Day 11 to 13 Chinese Base Camp
We have 3 full days in Chinese BC from 10th to 12th for the acclimatization
and also for the preparation of equipment, food and other necessary stuff.
Day 14 Interim Camp 5800m 2.5km 5 walking hrs
After breakfast, we walk to Interim Camp that takes around 5 hours.
Overnight in tent.
Day 15 Interim Camp
Rest and acclimatization in Interim Camp. Overnight in tent.
Day 16 Chinese Base Camp
2 walking hrs
After breakfast, we ascend around 200mtr over the glacier and descend down
to Interim camp for the lunch. After lunch we descend down to Chinese BC for
the overnight camp that takes about 2 hours.
Day 17 Chinese Base Camp 5200m
Rest and final preparation for the North Col-trip.
Day 18 Interim Camp 5800m 5 walking hrs
After breakfast, we walk to Interim Camp that takes around 5 hours. Overnight
in tent.
Day 19 Advance Camp 6400m 2km 5 walking hrs
We have a great walk over the glacier to Advance Camp. Overnight at tent.
Day 20 North-Col 7050m 3.5km 7 walking hrs
Today is the day to use CRAMPON over the boot of each clients as we walk
over the snow and ice. The staff wake us up at 4am for the breakfast and
start walking about 5am from Advance Camp. Our staff fixes the fix rope in
advance and we have to go using the fix rope today to reach North-Col.
Day 21 North-Col
This is the day to explore around North-Col. You have the most spectacular
views of Everest's inspiring windswept summit from here. You glance the
climbers taking their way to the higher camp or to the summit.
The Chinese liaison officer does not allow any one those who do not have the
proper permit of Everest from here above.
Day 22 Chinese BC 5200m 8km 6 walking hrs
After having breakfast, we start descending down to Advance BC where we take
the lunch and after lunch, we descend down to Chinese BC.
Day 23 Nylam 3700m 268km 8 driving hrs
After breakfast we drive back to Rongbuk then leave for Tingri 168km which
takes around 5 hrs drive for the lunch. After lunch, we drive to Nylam for
the overnight stay there. The road condition is ok and you can see mostly
landscape on the way with some mountain view. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, we leave for Zhangmu and drop sown to the border of Nepal
and Tibet for the visa formalities. The bus from Nepal is waiting for us
just next to the border and take us to Kathmandu. On the way from Nylam to
Zhangmu, we can have fabulous view of Shisahpangma and other peaks around.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 25 Airport transfer for the flight back to home
